Meet the KROEKERS
Miriam Kroeker is the co-owner and teacher of Kroeker Homeschool Academy along with her husband, Greg. She teaches Latin, English, writing, history, government, and economics for junior high and high school homeschoolers. She and Greg have homeschooled their four children since their oldest began kindergarten and have now graduated three. Miriam enjoys writing curricula, reading, attending her children’s many activities and performances, and running outside with her dog.
How it Started
Miriam has always loved teaching. Twenty years ago, Greg suggested teaching classes to homeschoolers. Miriam thought that was an amazing idea! She started out with two classes, and added classes every year. Now she has written over twenty different classes so students can take many different years of Latin, literature, writing, history, government/economics, and English.
Vision & Values
Our goal and purpose is to promote excellence through each course of study we offer. Parents and students have routinely commented on KHA’s rigorous and invigorating courses. Our academic classes focus on developing critical thinking skills while providing many opportunities for laughter and relationship building - all taught from a Christian worldview. Students receive weekly, formal instruction along with clearly detailed, well-organized at-home work for the remainder of the week. This allows parents to remain actively involved in the educational process while giving students ownership of their work.
