Junior High
English + Writing
Motivate your junior high student with English classes! Your child will learn spelling, grammar, reading, literary analysis and writing skills in this literature-based approach. Multiple full-
length, MLA style papers occur yearly. This is more than just a cursory look. It's the whole language arts package!

World History
Do you feel intimidated by the breadth of world history? Now your child can study with someone who loves the details of history from creation through the present day. Students will gain a perspective on the currents of history through a classical, Christian perspective. They will solidify their learning through weekly reading, primary sources, papers, and projects. Class writing, activities and discussion make this subject come alive!


Latin
KHA offers up to seven years of Latin study. These Latin courses promote a thorough
understanding of grammar, vocabulary, translation skills, sentence construction, Roman history, and
mythology, and goes far beyond the typical on-line, self-study, or group-taught course. Find out for yourself why so many KHA students win National Latin Exam awards!

British Literature
This informative, in-depth class offers students the opportunity to study British literature from the late Middle Ages through the 20th century. Students will read classic works of prose, poetry and plays, as well as learning vocabulary and comprehension skills. In addition, writing and analysis skills are emphasized which are so valuable to college-bound students. This is a perfect class for anyone interested in SAT preparation, college preparation or AP test preparation.
High School Writing
In-depth instruction
provides experience writing persuasive, descriptive, expository, imaginative, poetry and research
writing. Students also experience growth through sharing and hearing their peers’ writing. A detailed
grading rubric is provided at the completion of each assignment.
